Counselling offers you a safe, confidential, non-judgmental and caring space to explore issues, thoughts, emotions and feelings that have come about as a result of various life events. While we cannot change difficult situations of the past we can work together to better understand and resolve challenges in your life.
My aim is to help you understand what may be going on in your life, look at what you might like to change and empower you to do so. Being heard, understood and valued by another person can help to unlock our potential to change and grow. It can feel good to be free of the burdens that you originally came in to counselling to address.
As an integrative counsellor I am able to tailor my approach by drawing on different elements of specific therapies, such as person-centred, psychodynamic and CBT. As all people are unique, the therapy will be tailored to suit your personality and preferences.
